Sattva Arising have just released their second single titled 'Isolation' from the EP Heartbeats and Headlines. Written about the experiences of lockdown and been cut off from physical interaction with loved ones, the song weaves a tapestry of different time signatures while still planting itself firmly in the realm of great pop structure and catchy melodies. It hits hard from the start with the introduction being a nod to Kings of Leon before settling in to a gradual dynamic climb that explodes into the chorus. The band have never been afraid to write more challenging arrangements while still being true to their roots and 'Isolation' is another testament to this evolution of songwriting.

The new EP 'Heartbeats and Headlines' is out now and available via CD and digital shelves on all major platforms. The EP explores and more dynamic range of styles and shows the growth of the band musically. This is evident in the more expansive approach to production values that the band placed on certain arrangements where there couldn't be any boundaries. The opening track 'Number One' hits hard with a nod to 60's pop rock which includes a catchy chorus, hand claps and bop shoo ops. My Baby Girl is a beautiful ballad that blends the vocal style of an 80's crooner while the music is straight out of the Paul McCartney song book. To close things out, Angel of Mercy is the most ambitious track to date as far as production goes. With a beautiful string arrangement and huge dynamic shifts as the music moves between sections, this song is the perfect way to bring to a close an EP that will have fans and new listeners eagerly awaiting the next instalment.
The Story So Far………
Sattva Arising are a collection of talented musicians who are based in Bendigo (Victoria, Australia). Who were all brought together for the love of musical artistic expression. The group started as the brain child of lead singer/songwriter David Turpie while he was working as a solo artist and performing at festivals around Australia from 2012-2019. With one album (Mind Theft) and EP (Paradise County) release under his belt, he decided the time was right to bring together a group of musicians to share in the experience. Enter Jeremie Collard (lead guitar), Adam Bourke (drums), Mitch Charlton (bass) and Harrison Jenner (keyboards) to compete the line up.
Since then, Sattva Arising have been making significant strides in their career, earning regular airplay and critical success among reviewers. Building on the momentum of their live shows supporting established artists the band released their first EP under the current line up in 2024 titled ‘Chase the Sun’. The lead single from the EP ‘I Gave You Everything’ is a journey through a relationship breakdown from two different points of view. The song was also accompanied by a stunning film clip directed and filmed by Paul Burke who managed to visually capture the subject matter perfectly.
Their music is a well crafted original blend of rock and pop that infuses the influences of artists who have helped shaped these genres over the past thirty years such as U2, Matchbox Twenty, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters and many others. “Sattva Arising are one of the most dynamic bands currently on the scene. Sattva Arising are thrilled to be releasing brand new material for an EP that is planned for a July 2025 release. The new material is even more focused this time around due to the benefit of working again with producer Justin Humphries as well as developing the material at live shows.
With a fierce commitment to their craft, Sattva Arising have the ability to write songs that are straight to the point, melodic, memorable and appealing to the listener on an emotional level and are keen to leave their own impact on the music industry.
